Abstract :The layered Ti3SiC2 Ceramic combines the merits of metals and ceramics, such as high thermal and electrical conductivity, easily processing, excellent thermal shock resistance, oxidation resistance, and high temperature stability. This paper reviewed the structure, properties and preparation of Ti3SiC2 ceramics. Furthermore, the future applications in refractory industry of Ti3SiC2 ceramics were discussed.
