Journal of Ceramics (JC, 陶瓷学报, TaoCi XueBao), founded in 1980 as a comprehensive professional academic journal of ceramics, is sponsored by Jingdezhen Ceramic University. It is currently published bimonthly. It has been in the lists of Chinese Core Journals, Chinese Science and Technology Core Journals, Excellent Science and Technology Journals of Chinese Universities, Excellent Journals and Key Journals of Jiangxi Province. Focusing on both academics and application of ceramic materials, it is aimed to publish research progresses, industrialization status, original experimental technologies and the latest theoretical achievements related to ceramic materials.

The areas of interest include but not limited to the following three categories:

(1) Traditional ceramics, including household ceramics, architectural and sanitary ceramics, ancient ceramics, ceramic machinery, ceramic kilns, ceramic standards and testing, ceramic technology and preparation, etc;

(2) Functional ceramics, including ferroelectric, piezoelectric, dielectric, thermoelectric or conductive ceramics, high-strength ceramics, transparent ceramics, porous ceramics, biomedical ceramics, catalytic degradation materials, ceramic inks, nuclear ceramics, ceramic films and coatings, etc;

(3) Glasses and other non-metallic inorganic materials, including tempered glasses, super strong glasses, glass-ceramics, luminous glasses, conductive glasses, discolored glasses, thermal insulation glasses, glass fibers, etc.

In recent years, the editorial department of the Journal of Ceramics has received great support from both experts and authors. The number of manuscripts submitted to the journal has been significantly increased, while the publication criterion is continuously heightened. At the same time, the editorial department has made strong effort to continuously increase the number and threshold of peer reviewers. In addition, it will actively recruit Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, National Outstanding Youth Talent, Yangtze River Scholars, Thousand Talents Plan, Hundred Talents Plan and other experts to strengthen the editorial team, so as to ensure the scientific level and editing quality of the journal.
