The Research on Extrusion Quality of De-airing Pug Mill Based on Varible Temperature Field Anaysis Using Ansys

Abstract:In this paper, the temperature field of the pug in the extrusion process of de-airing pug mill has been analyzed with ANSYS, and the temperature variation of the pug in spiral groove under the influence of different thermal parameters, such as friction coefficients, outside temperatures and heating temperatures, has been obtained through numerical simulation. The results show that changes in pug velocity lead to temperature and pressure changing in the extrusion process, and in turn affect the pug's flow quality. The study can, therefore, provide theoretical basis for the research on extrusion production of the ceramic pug.
