Abstract:In this paper, a novel tape casting slurry for YSZ Electrolyte thin Film for IT- SOFC was prepared. The rheology of the slurry doped with binders and dispersants and the effects of different contents of binders on the viscosity were investigated.Also, the effects of the method on the drying characteristics, green density and sintering ability were studied. The results showed that the pseudo-plasticity and the viscosity of the slurry decreased with the increase of the content of B-1070;drying time was significantly reduced by this method; green density of YSZ tapes had greatly increased, and achieved 55.3% of theoretical density. YSZ electrolyte film with ~ 98.5% relative density can be obtained by sintering the green tapes at 1450℃ for 2h.
