Abstract:Ti(CX, N1-X) solid solution was synthe sized by microwave heating method using different kinds of TiO2 and C as materials. Synthesized samples were characterized by XRD, and analyzed with kinetic and thermodynamic theories.The results show that single-phase Ti(CX, N1-X) solid solution with a predetermined value of X can be synthesized by microwave heating at a lower temperature as long as reaction temperature, time, atmosphere and pressure are strictly controlled.
