Abstract: The complex impedance spectra of the Cu ion implanted semiconducting (Ba1-xSrx)TiO3,ceramics were measured in the temperature range 25~180℃ and frequence range 10 Hz~13MHz. According to the change of complex impedance spectra and equivalent circuit model of the implanted specimens, the resistance of bulk and grain boundary, and its temperature relations, and the PTCR characteristics were analyzed. The results show that the PTCR effect can be increased in does of 6x1015ions/cm2. Additionally, the X-ray photorement spectrosoopy (XPS) and the resistance-temperature measurement were also used to analyzey the charge state of implanted Cu ions and the effect of Cu-ion implantation on PTCR characteristics of the specimens.

Key words: semiconducting (Ba Sr) TiO3 ceramics, ion implantation, complex impedance spectroscopy
