Abstract:A raw transparent glaze fired at lower temperature with lead-free, frit-free, high transparency, high gloss and high steady performance was prepared by an ordinary ceramic preparation method, using natural mineral calcium boron, potassium feldspar, Longyan kaolin, Pingxiang quartz, Guangxi talc, ZnO and BaCO3 as raw materials. The effects of the firing temperature and the amount of natural calcium boron on the glaze properties were investigated. The results indicate that the glaze fired at 1100 ℃ for 30 min has good performance. Meantime, with the increasing of natural calcium boron, the transparent and shining glaze exhibits white crystals. When the content of B2O3 pertaining to the added natural calcium boron is 0.1634mol, the transparency of the lead- and frit-free raw transparent glaze is the highest.
