Abstract:High-temperature oxidation resistant ceramic coating on FeCrAl-alloy surface was prepared by fusing at 1300℃ in air, using Cr2O3, cementing phase and FeCrAl-alloy as the starting material. Effects of the Cr2O3 doping amount and the coating thickness on the thermal-shock resistance of the sample were studied. The results show that the ceramic coating exhibits good thermal-shock resistance and may arrive at 16 times (RT ←→1200℃) when the mass ratio of adhesive phase to Cr2O3 is 1:0.5, the coating thickness is about 100μm and the firing system is 1300℃×60min. The ceramic coating was analyzed through the application of SEM and high-temperature dilatometer, etc. The relationship between the microstructure and the performance of thermal- shock resistance was investigated for the ceramic coating.
