Research on"Single-Unit" Batch Formule of Jingdwzhen Traditional Ceramic Body

Abstract:In this paper, bodies of Jingdezhen porcelain composed of Nangang, Sanbaopeng and Liujiawan chinastone are studied. The effect of batch formula on the performance of the body is discussed by testing its shrinkage, water absorption,bulk density and apparent porosity after firing it at 1050℃,1180℃,1260℃and 1310℃. The reasons for the change of a "single-unite" batch formula to a "binary" in the fabrication of Jingdezhen traditional porcelain body are also explained after the analysis of historical documents and materials.
