Abstract: A macroporous biphasic calcium phosphate ceramics were prepared from hydroxyapatite by slip casting with the addition of chitosan microballs.The phase compositionmicrostructurepore size and distribution were studied by X-ray and SEM.The results show that the sample with an average HA particle size of 260nm sintered at1000℃~1180℃ provided biphasic calcium phosphate ceramics with different ratio of β-TCP/HA and appeared more complicate fracture surface than those β-TCP ceramics.
