Abstract: TiB2/Al203 composite powders were prepared by spray drying. The effects of solid loading and binder content on the morphology, microstructure, loose packed density and flow rate of the spray dried granules were studied. When solid content is 47.6wt%of total mass, the dispersant and binder concentration are 0.4wt%and 1.0wt% of solid loading respectively, the slurry has suitable viscosity and good dispersant stability. The optimized slurry was spray-dried successfully to produce spherical granules with good spherical shape and uniform size distribution. The composite powders have good flow rate and high packing densities.
