Abstract: In order to study the carbon pollution of BaTiO3 ceramic during spark plasma slntering (SPS) and the decarbonizatlon processes, the BaTiO3 with graphite die and paper-like filler was sintered in SPS system at 1150°C. According to X-ray , EDS and SEM result, it can be concluded that the graphite die will pollute the sintered body and the distribution of carbon along the radius direction is gradient, after being held at 800℃ for 2 hours, the carbon pollution in the SPSed body can be completely removed, whereas, the BaTiO3 ceramic will possess high density and homogeneous microstructure.
