Abstract: By means of sol- gel method, TiO₂ sol containing anatase colloidal particles was synthes ized, and then anatase TiO2 film was prepared on the paint coating at ambient temperature. XRD, TEM and SEM were adopted to characterize TiO₂ sol and film, and the influence of TiO₂ film on the stain res is tance of paint coating was also inves tigated. The results show thatTiO₂ sol coated on the paint coating forms compactTiO₂ film, and this film can enhance the s tain res is tance of paint coating effectively.
