Abstract: Zirconia( Y₂O₃ ) powders were prepared by spray granulation. The influence of binder content on the granule densities, pressure -densities of compaction and the crushing behaviour of zirconia granule during compaction were studied .The results indicated that higher binder content resulted in higher zirconia granule densities but too hard to crush. The hard zirconia granules remained in green body as hard aggregation which would hibit the densification during sintering.
