the Effects of ZnO and Na20 on Microstructers and Properties of CaO -B2O3 -SiO2 Dielectric Ceramics

Abstract:The CaO -B2O3 -SiO2( CBS) microwave dielectric ceramics which can be sintered at low temperature use ZnO and Na2O as additives were investigated .The microwave dielectric properties, sintering process and microstructures of the ceramics were studied too .Low melting point glasses which lower the sintering temperature efficiently can be formed with ZnO, B2O3 and SiO2 at the sintering process .The sintering mechanism is liquid phase sintering .Though Na2O can also lower the sintering tempera- ture, it destroys the crystal structure of the CaSiO3 and lead to poor microwave property .The ceramics has a excellent microwave dielectric properties and is suitable for the production of high frequency microwave devices like LTCC and microwave fiters .
