Abstract:The preparation and application of fast ionic conductors was reviewed .Having special particular electron structure, fast ionic conductors showed excelled conductivities .And being cleaned to the environment, they were used in many fields ;such as electrical vehicles, fuel cells, electrochromic devices, high temperature sensors, gas sensors, electrochromic device diodes, ion - selective electrode etc.The preparation methods of fast ionic conductors were recited, which included solid state sintered method, hydrothermal synthesis method, sol -gel process, chemical vapor deposition( CVD) method, rf -reactive sputtering method, and laser melting methods etc.

And the possible future of research and development of fast ionic conductor was also presented .
