Abstract: In this paper, nanofibers composed of polyaniline, silicon -containing polyelectrolytes and PEO were deposited on interdigitated gold electrodes by electrospinning to construct a humidity nanosensor. The resistance of the nanosensor changed for three orders of magnitude in the humidity range of 22 -95% RH, indicating a high sensitivity. In addition, it showed good linearity (R2=0.966) on a semi-logarithmic scale, very small hysteresis (2% RH) and fast response time (t90%: 7s and 19s for adsorption and desorption, respectively). Moreover, the decoration of electrode with polyelectrolyte is proved to effectively improve the contact between the nanofibers and the gold electrode.
