Abstract: The glass ceramics were prepared by using molybdenum slag as raw material,in which Zr0₂ functioned as a nucleation agent.The effect of Zr0₂ content on the crystallization and the mechanical properties was studied.The crystallization process was investigated by DTA,XRD and SEM.It was shown that the bulk crystallization process  occurs when the content of Zr0₂ is 1%, and crystallization activation energy is 212.834 kJ/mol. It was found that bending strength is 66.9918 Mpa and micro hardness is 708.67 GPa.
