Abstract: The SiC slurry was spray- dried by centrifugal rotating spraying, and the effects of spray- drying on flow characteristics , mould behavior, s intering properties and micros tructure of silicon carbide ceramic were inves tigated, which is beneficial for the preparation of SiC ceramic seals . The results showed that the spray- pelletized SiC powder can be obtained with high flow characteristics , high dens ity and uniformity of green body; the sintering properties of silicon carbide ceramics increased obviously, and an ideal micros tructure and better mechanical properties could be attained.
