Abstracts: BaPbO3 thick films ware prepared success fully on PZT substrates by the modified Sol-Gel method using Ba(OH) 2·8H2O and Pb (NO3 ) 2·3H2O as raw materials and ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid , citric acid and tartaric acid as complex chelating agents . The micros tructure of the prepared BaPbO3 thick films was investigated via SEM.The SEM micrographs suggest that the BaPbO3 thick films are of high density and crack - free , and the grain size is 1 - 2μm. The sheet resistance of thick films decreased with the solid concentration of the additive . The effect of solid concentration disappeared with the increase in thickness resulting in the coincidence of electrical conductivity of films . The PZT with BaPbO3 thick films have a good dielectric characteristic .
