Abstract: By adopting an effective and stable compound catalyzer as the pyrolytic agent, SF₆ is decomposed at a low temperature into gases (SO₂, HF) which can be easily detected. Then with the amplification of the out signals through a reliable micro-signal detection and processing system, SF₆ can be indirectly detected by a new type of electrochemical gas sensors which have high sensitivity, little drift in humidity and temperature, and long service life.
