Affection of Polymer Doping to Sound Absorption of Foam Ceramics

Abstract: Sound absorbing materials and the trend of their application were reviewed, and low average absorption coefficient became a significant factor that confined the use of foam ceramics in the field of noise control. Study on the mechanisms of sound absorption by using foam materials, presents a new technique of polymer modifying foam ceramics to strengthen their viscosity, relaxation and thermal conductivity and to improve their acoustic properties.
