Abstract: Jade -like glass with soft color and luster can be obtained by adding an appropriate amount of emulsion agent(Na₂SiF₆) in the basic glass. The composition of the basic glass, the addition amount of emulsion agent (Na₂SiF₆), Al₂O₃ and CaO, the time and temperature of melting and etc. will have a significant impact on the properties of jade-like glass. The melting temperatures and time and the stability of production process will also affect the performance of the jade-like glass.Adding ionic coloring agent, especially rare-earth ionic coloring agent, to the jade-like glass can render more color to the jade-like glass.
