Abstract: Flower-like NiO nanoarchitectures have been successfully synthesized using Ni (NO3)2·6H2O and (NH2)2CO in mix solvents of wood alcohol and water by homogeneous precipitation, at 85℃. XRD analysis indicated the as prepared sample is of hexagonal structure of NiO. FE-SEM and TEM characterization confirm that the morphologies of NiO nanocrystals are "flower" -constructed nanosheets. The flower with the size of 10μm in diameter is composed of nanosheets of less than 100nm in thickness, and the nanosheets have microporous structure. BET area is around 128.36m2/g. FT -IR analysis showed that the flower -like NiO nanoarchitectures have obvious nanometer effect. The infrared adsorption band of the flower-like NiO (403.6 cm-1) red shifts 84.5 cm-1 compared that of bulk NiO(487.1 cm-1).
