Abstract: Structural features of the interfaces within plasma sprayed ceramic coating are introduced, and physical and chemical characteristic of the interfaces are also summarized. Then some advanced approaches to the design and control of coating interfaces are put forward. Finally, the main directions and difficulties for future research are discussed.
