Abstract: The age-old Cizhou ware is an important component of Chinese ceramic art tradition. Today with the booming of China's ceramic production cities, the development of Cizhou kiln, the largest commercial ceramic producer in northern China in ancient times, has attracted increasing attention of the ceramic community. This paper takes an insight into the current status of Cizhou ware from its producers and business operation modes to disclose its problems. It gives strategies for its further development from the aspects of personnel training, product innovation, business operation and industrialization.
