Abstract: Commonly-used frameworks of interlacing flower designs on blue and white porcelain are investigated from the perspectives of the construction, aesthetics and cultural implications to reveal their traditional national features. By incorporating native decorative elements into their modern designs, the interlacing flower patterns are endowed with the spirit and art concept of contemporary time and are more culturally and philosophically enriched.
