Abstract: Traditional folk crafts begin to call public attention with the prevalence of the concept of intangible cultural heritage. However,a traditional craft has hard time surviving in the context of social transformation which sees the conflict between the aspirations for rapid development of economy and culture and the needs for heritage transmission. Its preservation calls for innovations based on the maintenance of its essence and the fulfillment of modern aesthetic criteria. This paper describes the status quo of the reparation with cramps for porcelain curios and antiquities and predicts the future tendencies of this technique.
