Abstract:As an important part of the study on cultural geography, the observation on the existence and changes of the cultural landscape and its symbolism and meanings in the space could help the research on the man-land relationship and urbanization process, and deepen the understanding of the constitution of cultural identity and place identity. This paper analyzed the changes of the cultural landscape in the geographical space, and using the Jingdezhen ceramic cultural landscape as an example, inquired into its transformation path and pattern to find out about its unique urbanization process and man-land relationship. The investigation revealed the pivotal role of ceramic cultural identity in the constructing process of compound identity and the way of place identification against the background of ceramic culture.
