Abstarct: The forms of domestic ceramic have been updated with the development of technology and the rise of living standard. Modern life style, technology and art esthetics afford greater developing space for domestic ceramic design especially in this cutting-edge era. This paper suggests approaches from the perspectives such as semantics, aesthetics, and functionalism to new designs that can be developed through the innovation of structure, form, material and processing technique. The aim is to put form design approaches into practice for fulfilling the needs of market.
