Chinese Auspicious Culture and Symbolic Images in Jingdezhen Ceramic Art Schema

Abstract: Chinese auspicious culture reflects Chinese people’s aspiration for good luck, happiness, and perfection. As an ideal vessel of perfection since ancient times, porcelain has been endowed with auspicious implications; Jingdezhen ceramic art works in particular are forms bearing on them diversified auspicious cultural symbols. This paper analyzes the impact of Chinese auspicious culture on Jingdezhen ceramic art aesthetics to disclose the relationship of the culture with Jingdezhen ceramic art schema in terms of the symbolic meaning, modeling shape,decorative color, etc.
