Abstract: Nixi black pottery is known as the living fossil of primitive pottery making, whose craft, decoration techniques, aesthetic elements and cultural performance has still remained the unique original simple quiet beauty of Tibetan tribes. But, cultural inheritance should be inclusive and unique and should not operate in a closed system. Based on this idea, the development strategy of black pottery is put forward in the paper, which entails breaking, inheriting and integrating. Single techniques and decorative forms should be broken, Tibetan ethnic characteristics of modeling shapes and decorative patterns should be inherited, and the modern idea of black pottery should be integrated into it.
