Artistic Expression and Application of High Temperature Glazes in Ceramic Painting

Abstract: High temperature color glazed porcelain is a unique type of porcelain painted with underglaze enamels. It has rich and beautifulcolors and a unique form of expression. Its unique charm is mainly manifested in its varied texture effects. Furnace transmutation, glazechange and liquid change are common high temperature glaze effects. Because of this high temperature glazes are favored by more and moreceramic artists. High temperature colored glazes were first used in the Yin and Zhou Dynasties, but it was not until the late Qing Dynasty thatthey really became the mainstream of ceramic decorations. Therefore, it is worthwhile to tap into their artistic value to provide new ideas forthe future development of ceramic decorations.
