Abstract: The review summarized the structure, performances, classification and preparation of porous ceramic membrane, and introduced the applications in liquid-solid and gas-solid separation, including concentration and separation in industrial processes; industrial wastewater and municipal wastewater treatment; drinking water treatment; dust removal at homoeothermy and flue gas treatment at megathermal and so on. The research progress and developments of the porous ceramic membrane both in China and abroad are analyzed. The disparities in the research and application of ceramic membrane technology between China and advanced countries are proposed, and the possible market of the porous ceramic membrane in China is prospected.
