Abstract: The material, as one of the constituent elements, is essential to modern ceramic art. The research and development of modern and new materials have made closer the bond of the design and creation of the modern ceramic art with the material, which attaches the special importance to the exploration on the use of the material in the design and creation of modern ceramic art based on its ontology language. This paper aims to explore the material’s effect on the creation of modern ceramic art through the deconstruction and analysis of the material’s ontology language.
