Abstract: As a kind of N-type semiconductor material, WO3 showed good gas sensitivity. Recently, many studies have been researched on the detection of NO2, and the researchers consider that the WO3 has great application potential for NO2 detection. In this paper, the gas sensing mechanism of N-type semiconductor WO3 nano-material was first introduced, and then the research progress on enhancing the gas sensing performance in terms of morphology controlling, doping and forming the compounds was summarized.
