Journal of Ceramics was selected as the “Classification Catalogue of High Quality Science and Technology Journals in Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials”

In order to deeply implement the important directive spirit of running first-class academic journals, pursue the “Opinions on Deepening Reform and Cultivating World-Class Scientific and Technological Journals” jointly issued by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, promote the homogeneity and equivalence of Chinese and foreign scientific and technological journals, attract high-level papers to be first published in Chinese scientific and technological journals, and serve the national innovation driven development strategy. According to the unified deployment of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Ceramic Society has undertaken the first selection work for the “Classification Catalogue of High Quality Science and Technology Journals in the Field of Non metallic Materials without Machinery”.
In this selection, more than 430 renowned scholars in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials were invited to be expert committee members, and seven Academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences were invited to lead the committee for evaluation. Journals in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials were divided into nine categories for evaluation based on their disciplinary direction.
It was reported from the Chinese Ceramic Society that the “Classified Catalogue of High Quality Science and Technology Journals in the Field of Non-metallic Materials” has been released (

This review selected a total of 79 high-quality scientific and technological journals at T1, T2, and T3 levels from 293 scientific and technological issues in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials both domestically and internationally, including 15 Chinese journals and 64 English publications. Journal of Ceramics sponsored by Jingdezhen Ceramic University has been rated as a T3 level journal in this field.
