Abstract:Nano zirconia powders were synthesized by heating the alcohol-aqueous salt solution, using ZrOCl2·8H20 as the raw material. The influences of heating temperature, types of alcohol, ratio of alcohol to water, dispersant addition and calcining temperature on the formation of nano ZrO2powder were investigated. The results show that well -dispersed Zr02 nano powder with a mean particle size of 25nm could be prepared with the reaction temperature at 75℃, the ratio of ethanol to water at 5:1 and the addition of 4.0wt%PEG200. The synthesized powder is pure tetragonal Zr02 when calcined at 900't for 1h.
