Abstract: The canonical forms of ancient Chinese ceramic wares have always been the focus of academic attention. Such adiversified and colorful way of viewing objects has been accumulated into the gene of Chinese ancient creation culture. Themetaphysical "view of objects" and the physical "view of objects" have always run through the convection and integration ofthe changes of ceramic vessel forms. The twoantagonistic relations of content and form in the "application" of ceramics arethe key to reveal the generation and spread of ceramic vessel forms. These classical paradigms are also rooted in the publiclife. The universality, comprehensiveness and inheritance determine the main line of the paradigm of ancient Chineseceramics, which can be used to guide the creation and design of contemporary daily use items.
Key words: ceramic ware; canonical; universality; comprehensive; inheritance
