Abstract: By testing and studying an imitation golden lustre glaze fired at 1160t ~ 1200t has been developed. The test result shows that rational prescription, especially the Cu、 Mn、 V elements and firing system are the important factors for making the excellent, imitation gold lustre glaze. By means of determining of x-ray a lot of crystal spinel CuMn204 can be found on the surface layer of the glaze which are arranged in (111) and paralled to the surface of the glaze. As a result it leads to the production of the gold lustre glaze through the selective reflection of the rays. and the glaze surface with the high refractine index increases the effect of gold lustre.
