Abstract: By testing and studying an imitation golden lustre glaze fired at 1160t ~ 1200t has been developed. The test result shows that rational prescription, especially the Cu、 Mn、 V elements and firing system are the important factors for making the excellent, imitation gold lustre glaze. By means of determining of x-ray a lot of crystal spinel CuMn₂0₄ can be found on the surface layer of the glaze which are arranged in (111) and paralled to the surface of the glaze. As a result it leads to the production of the gold lustre glaze through the selective reflection of the rays. and the glaze surface with the high refractine index in­creases the effect of gold lustre.
