Abstract: In this paper , the chemical composition , the changes of appearance and microstructure during firing of "San Yan Kai Tai" glazes fired in LPG-firing kiln under reducing atmosphere were studied by TEM、 OM and Orsat flue gas analyser. The optimal range of chemical compositions and the firing schedule for "San Yan Kai Tai "glaze had been obtained. The relationship among chemical composition,microstructurc and appearance of glaze was determined. The results obtained are as scientific basis for manufacturing "San Yang Kai Tai "glaze fircd in LPG-firing kiln .
