Abstract:  A chemical reaction v1 B1 + v2 B2 + … -vn-Bn + vn+lBn+l + …can be chiefly written as O = EvB. Both expressions are called stoichiometric equantion. It is found that there is an extensive meaning calculating the thermodynamic quantities R or R. The expression equation of thermodynamic quantity will be obtained if B on the right side of the equation is replaced by a appropriate relative quantity and the thermodynaniic quantity to be calcalated is added to the left side. A lot of examples of replacing􀂑treatment useful to the discussion of physical chemistry are given.

Key words: stoichiometric equation; thermodynamic quantity;replacing treatment
