Study on the Suppression of Thermal Decomposition of Aluminum Titanate with Composite Ways

Abstract: Systematic investigation was made so as to allow practical use of aluninum titanate. Its two fatal drawbacks were overconme by the following cormprehensive ways: surplus Al2O3 in the formulation, addition of mullite ( or fonnation of mullite al high tepenature) to suppress the thermal decomposition of aluminun titanale, and optimal introduction of MgO and Cr2O3; The batch of alurmimum tilanate mainly consists of natural raw materials , so ils product with low cost and higher perfommance can be practically used .
