Abstract:The gas-flow in the preheating zone of the roller hearth kiln, with different arrangement of dampers, was numerically simulated by FLUENT software. The results indicate that along with the length and the inter width of the kiln, the effect of the dampers arranged in a concave structure on gas -flow is the greatest, the effect made by the dampers in a saw -tooth structure is less, and that of the horizontal arrangement is the least.
