Abstract: The scparated phase morpology of two silicale glasscs with differcnt MgO/ CaO ratio werc studied. The cxpcrinental results showed that the scparatcd phasc morphology of the glass with high M gO/ CaO ratio grew and becamc discreic and isolated droplets {rom ini- tial small inierconnected structure during heat trealment. However, thc scparatcd phase morphology of the glass with low MgO / CaO ratio grew and becamc large inlcrconncc1cd structure from small initial in1crconnected Slructlre.

Key words: Scparated phasc morphology; Inlerconncctcd structurc; Silicatc glass
