Abstract: The oxidation performances at elevated temperatures of SiC and Ti(CN) dispersed Al2O3 based composite ceramic material have been studied in detail.Results show that the weight gains of the static oxidation under air atmosphere of the material obey the parabolic law welland the main oxidation products are mainly 3Al2O3、2SiO2 and TiO2.The energy of activation of the material decreases with different extent with the increase of the content of SiC and Ti(CN).Relatively high oxidation resistance is found for the SiC and Ti(CN) dispersed ceramic composite.
