Abstract:TiO2 nanotubes were synthesized by hydrothermal process, using P25 (TiO2) powder and NaOH as the reactant. The micro -morphology, structure and composition of titania nanotube (TNT) were characterized by TEM and XRD, and the photocatalytic activity was studied. The results showed that the product is anatase TiO2 nanotubes with multi-storey tube wall, 10nm~30nm in the external-diameter, several nanometers to tens in the length. In the ultraviolet light, the photocatalytic degradation rate of \MB by TNT was 60% in eighty minutes, higher than the photocatalytic degradation by P25.
