Study on the Cutting Performance of Advanced Ceramic Cutting Tool

Abstract: Studies on the cutting performance of advanced ceramic tools(JX - 2, H5, H13, H21) have been carried out when machining cast iron(HT20), quenched steel No.45 and high temperature alloy GH99. The effects of cutting speed and feed rate on tool flank wear have been also studied experimentally. The cutting conditions have been optimized.
