Abstract: The high temperature oxidation behaviour of Al203/TiB2 ceramic composites with different TiB2 contents is studied. The phase composition, microstructure, oxidation mechanism and destruction mode of oxide film are investigated by XRD and SEM. It is found that this ceramic composite is oxidized in a parabolic manner for weight gain curves when exposed to air for 30h at the temperature from ll00℃ to 1400℃. The activation energy decreases as TiB2 contents increase. And the larger the TiB2 contents, the more the flexure strength reduces.
