Study On Synthesis of Nano - Structured Mesoporous Silica Material and Its Mechanical Stability

Abstract: The mesoporous silica MCM - 41 materials have been synthesized under basic condition at room temperature, and the characteristics of sample were investigated using XRD, HREM, and N adsorption techniques. The mechanical stability of me-sopores in the MCM - 41 powder under different pressure were studied also. It has been showed that the (100) peak intensity of XRD weakened, the special surface area and N adsorbed amounts of samples decreased with the increase of pressure. The mesoporous silica MCM - 41 materials have maintained relatively good nano - structure with meso - channels under 50MPa pressure
